Just Do It !

“ When someone says you can’t do it. Do it twice and take pictures”. I don’t know who quoted this. I just found it on Pinterest.  Do you remember being told that you couldn't do something or that you weren't good enough for it. What was your response that time? Listening to those words, did you drop that plan immediately or did you show them that you could do it and took a picture of it? If you have dropped the plan that means you have actually fallen into a big trap. A trap where you are trying to please others. You never tried to live for yourself. All you want is to please everyone around you.   There is a famous quote by David Copperfield, and it goes like this. “When people say you can’t do it - that it is impossible - never lose hope. Just because they couldn’t do it doesn’t mean you can't”. Believe in yourself. Never think you have only the limited talents others are having. You are always special with your own talents. Achieving your dreams is possible if you beli...

What is the Story Of Your Life ?

“The choice you make, between hating and forgiving, can become the story of your life”. A quote by Gregory David Roberts. What is the story of our life? What is our choice when we have a problem, is it hating or forgiving?  But before going into it, I just wanted to tell you a small story , The  story of a bank robber. The story of Gregory David Robert itself. We know him as an Australian author, composer and songwriter. But after his breakup with his wife and losing his daughter he became a heroin addict. He started doing many crimes. He was sentenced to 19 years in  prison. But he escaped from the prison and spent eight years in Bombay. In Bombay he established a free medical  clinic for slum dwellers. He only robbed institutions with insurance and he always made sure to say “please” and “thank you” to people he robbed. In spite of the fact that Roberts was a robber, he took money from people who were secure and gave it to the needy. That is how he entered i...

Gift To Mother

Preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we have ever known. A beautiful quote by American Astronomer Carl Edward Sagan. The pale blue dot, the only home, what is he referring to. Is it our mother earth?  You might be thinking why I am referring to earth as our mother. Is it because she gives us life and embeds us like a mother. Of course not only because of it. The most important reason is that she protects us exactly like how a mother protects her little baby.  Today's newspapers are brimming with stories of how mother earth protects her beautiful children. And I know that upon reading that news, we all had a beautiful smile on our faces. The four little children along with their mother, the pilot and an indigenous leader started their journey. But unfortunately due to engine failure the plane crashed. The bodies of three adults were recovered near the crash. The children went missing in the Amazon forest. After 40 days of search the four children were fo...

Forgot To Remember

“If you wish to forget anything on the spot, make a note that this thing is to be remembered”. A famous quote by American Author Edgar Allan Poe.  I love how small and beautiful this quote is. Upon reading it and thinking about it again, how many of you or how many of us can relate this to our lives. We usually note out important dates or things to complete in a day in a paper or somewhere we see around. That is quite usual. How many of you have the habit of looking for the piece of paper on which you wrote the points to remember. To be frank, I have that habit. It takes me a few minutes to hunt around the house for something I just forgot.  Passwords are the biggest trouble for our cute little brains to remember. We are just like  giving instructions to the brain every time and just saying ‘ Remember this password for the next login’. And whether these websites or other platforms allow us to put small and easy passwords. They just say this is so simple and easy to...

Hard to Smart Work !

There is a beautiful quote by American Author Byron Dorgan. It is quoted like this “ Working hard and working smart sometimes can be two different things ”. Do you think these  are completely two different things? One of my teachers once said, "We have to work hard in our life. But that doesn’t mean that we have to work hard throughout  our life to become successful. We have to start our career by doing hard work. We have to do hard work for two to three years and then do smart work’. What is this smart work? How do I know what smart work I have to do to become successful? These are the questions that rushed into my mind when I heard this. Do you have these questions? Ok let me try to explain smart work in a simple way which I understood. In the early ages we were not having mobile phones or not even landlines. People used to write letters to their relatives. It is the only medium of communication. The letters used to take more days to reach the other person's home. But...

Be The Master Of Fears..

“Fear is a powerful force that somehow does not allow many people to get what they want in life”. A famous quote by an American motivational writer David J Schwarts.  Have you ever become nervous when you face the audience? Do you lose your words? Does your hands become ice cold? Do you feel like your heart is coming out and beating? Is this the situation that you call stage fear?   What other fears do you have? Do you have fear of rejection or fear of failure or fear of being judged? If you have these don’t be shy to tell this, because almost 75% of people around us are having all these fears.  Have you ever thought about what stage fear is? Is it the fear of how others will judge or is it the lack of confidence that makes you feel that you will not be able to do it perfectly.  We are comfortable being with our friends and family. We can perform anything in front of them, let it be songs, dance, speech or anything that they tell us to do. But when the s...

Smile to Smile

Hellooooo I just want to talk to you about something ? Something what ?  And now I know you are thinking why I didn't start with a quote today ? Actually nothing much. The other day my friend asked me to fill out a form that was part of her project. There was one question in that form that really caught my eyes. The question was like this. “Do you find happiness while helping others ?”. Simply we can answer this question “yes or no”. I know most of you will be going with the answer “yes”. But can I ask this in another way? When was the last time you were happy helping others? What help you offered? Is it yesterday, or day before yesterday, or last week, or last month, or even last year. When was it? We are blank for this answer right.  Why are we blank? Why don’t we help others who are badly in need. Is it because we don’t have time for them? I won’t be wrong if I say today's world is completely selfish. We run for our life. To make it more wealthy, proud, and successfu...
