Never Get Trapped In Other’s Dreams :)
“ Don’t be trapped in someone else’s dream “. A beautiful quote by Kim Taehyung, a South Korean singer and a member of the BTS band. I know most of us are fans of BTS. So he doesn’t need much introduction.
This is a really thought provoking quote.
Do you have your own dreams ?
Do you live in your own dream or are you trapped in someone else’s dream ?
This is of course not a silly question, just because there are many among us who are trapped in someone else’s dream. We are trapped in our parents' dreams, our relatives, our society, our friends' dreams and the big list goes on like that. It happens to everyone no matter whether they are rich or poor. It isn't so easy to get out of that trap when we are caught up in it. There are many ways in which we can fall into that trap, such as emotional blackmail, or sometimes we are not even aware we're going to fall into it.
It is important to be aware of how you fall into this trap. For that you need to know what you mean by being trapped in someone else’s dream. It simply means that we should do what we want, not what others want us to do. We have only one life in this beautiful world. We have to enjoy and utilize it to the maximum.
There are many parents in our surrounding that force their children to achieve their dreams irrespective of the children’s dream. They don’t care what the children actually need. Sometimes the parents wish their child to become a doctor. On the other hand the child wanted to become a famous football player. At the end the child got trapped in his parents dream. He has to take the rest of his life in some other job that had never even come to his mind. He will never be happy without his passion. This is not only the case. There are some cases where the child has to go through high stress and he faces depression. There are even cases where the child got suicided or got a heart break due to the high stress of living in someone else’s dream.
According to the NCRB data, 10,159 students died in the year of 2018. This happens mainly because of the over stress of living in someone else’s dream. The parents and relatives who force their children to live in someone else’s dream should know that the kids can’t face that much stress, and at some point of time they may even lose them.
A few years ago there was a case reported in the newspapers of India. A 11 year old student from Telangana jumped from the second floor of his school just because he couldn’t cope with the parental pressure to study the IIT foundation course. This is not one case. There are many in our surrounding like this.
Never allow anyone to spoil your beautiful life and your beautiful dream. Sometimes we have to go through hard times by not listening to others' dreams. But don’t worry. You are on the right path. You are saving yourself from being trapped in others dreams. You will get satisfaction for the rest of your life.
Enjoy your beautiful life. Don’t forget to keep your beautiful smile on your beautiful face. All the best and keep moving. Have a blessed, enjoyable and beautifully smiling day. :)
