Be The Master Sailor !

A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. A quote by an American politician Franklin D Roosevelt.

This is an incredibly meaningful quote. Without any obstacles and challenges we will not succeed or  we will not even master our skills. That is the only reason nature itself provides obstacles in our path. Imagine we are given everything smoothly. There are no obstacles or even we don’t have anything to worry about. We just want to sit and relax and we are given everything like spoon feeding. Then how will we know the world? We will remain there only. Without problems we can’t understand the world or people around us. Take every obstacle you face as a training class. The training to know yourself, to find your hidden skills, and expand them to the maximum.

Imagine we don’t have any obstacles in our life and everything is going perfectly. Then we will judge ourselves that we are perfect in what we are doing and will continue like that . We will not learn anything new. Then what if suddenly a jerk happens. We will lose our control. We won’t know what to do. Just because we are not trained to overcome these situations. That loss will be the actual loss you will have. Without  facing obstacles, problems, and criticisms we can’t learn or master anything.

Today’s generation is not that used to having obstacles in their life. They just get everything they want in seconds. But I don't think they are being trained correctly. They will be stuck somewhere in their path. At that point they won’t know the ways to overcome and they just quit. So never spoon feed others. Let them face whatever obstacles that come along their path.

Let me tell a small story. I don’t know how much this story is related to our topic. But this story can tell you how much you can master and achieve when you learn to overcome the obstacles.

This is the story of Arunima Sinha, which some of you may already know. Because she is a perfect motivator and a lady that we all need to respect. In 2011, Arunima was a 24 year old national level volleyball player. During a train journey from Delhi to Lucknow she was robbed by a group of thieves for her gold chain. When she refused to give it, she was thrown out of the moving train. She lost one leg in that accident. The newspaper reported that accident as a suicide attempt. She was seen in the eyes of society as a girl who tried to do suicide and lost her leg. All these were hurting her badly. But she was not ready to quit. She wanted to overcome all these. In 2013, exactly two years after the accident, she climbed Mount Everest. She was the first Indian amputee to climb Mount Everest. In 2015 she was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India.

This should be our attitude. Whatever comes against our path, ignore it and keep moving. Be confident. You can achieve whatever you want. All the best, keep moving. Don’t forget to keep your beautiful smile on your beautiful face. Have a beautiful, determined day:)
