Recharge Your Confidence!

GOOOOD MORNINGGGG! How is your day going ? Is it one of those days where you are feeling 100% confident , with a fully charged battery of energy šŸ˜‰?Seriously, how much self confidence do you have?Or how proud you feel of yourself. I know you will have confidence in things you do regularly. But what about when you try something new? Have you ever faced a situation where your confidence just drains away and you feel like you are not good for anything.

Ahhh I know it’s a really bad situation.

We all have been in those situations, haven’t we? It is a horrible situation, and I totally understand how it feels. But they are actually part of our life. It’s those experiences that help us grow. Without them we will be stuck in one place. Life is all about moving forward, learning from setbacks and building ourselves stronger each time.

When you attend a motivational class the first thing you will hear is what determines your confidence. ā€œIs it other people’s words or actions?ā€ And then they will say ā€œWhy should you care about what others think or say? Live your life and stop draining your energy on people who don’t matterā€. It sounds nice, doesn't it? A good motivation. But does it instantly give you the strength to become more confident? If I am being honest, I don’t think it will give me. I have to accept that.

The fact is, other people’s words and actions have a big impact on our confidence. I will tell you a small example from my life. The other day I shared one of my drawings with my close friends and asked how it is. I wanted to know what improvements I could do in that drawing. They all said they liked it and that boosted my confidence to share it with a bigger group. Now imagine this, what if I had gotten very bad negative feedback. What if they  said, ā€œThis doesn’t even look like a picture. Maybe you should stop drawing, this isn’t your thingā€? Then what, would I have the confidence to draw again? Will my work ever improve without confidence?

So whether we accept or not, the words and actions of others have a high impact on our self belief. That is why it is important to surround yourself with people who uplift you and help increase your confidence. I know it is not always easy to walk away from people who don’t support you, but it is worth trying.

And if you feel like your confidence has completely drained from you, don’t pretend nothing has happened and carry on like everything is fine. Give yourself a break for the day. Go to your room, to your bed, lay down and sleep. Just like when you are physically unwell and need rest your mind needs that same care when it is struggling. If you can’t afford a break at that moment, try to stay active. Don’t let your mind focus on the negativity or keep replaying the incident. Accept what has happened, you can’t change the past. The only thing you can do is take care of your mind, overcome the situation and avoid those people or situations in future.

And the most important thing, never let the negative words or actions of others stop you from doing what you love. If you let that happen, then you are fooling yourself. You are cheating your mind on the happiness you deserve. Never stop doing what you love. Live the life you want by doing the things that make you happy. And don’t forget to keep your beautiful smile on your beautiful face. Have a beautiful and confident day ahead.

  1. That's soo true, even though we're told others' opinions shouldn't affect us, they often do. However, it is in these moments we have to make a crucial choice: to thoughtfully consider constructive criticism and acknowledge the reality that diverse tastes exist. Not everyone will appreciate your work, and that's perfectly acceptable. Your confidence and passion for your craft should be the driving forces. Ultimately, your worth is defined by you, not by others' perceptions.
